Tipperty School Win “Formartine in Bloom” Award
30th Sep 2016
Tipperty School has been awarded with the Formartine in Bloom award despite tough competition from 10 other schools in the Formartine area.
The initiative is assessed on quality of floral display and on environmental quality, recycling and community involvement.
Connon Brothers help collect plants every year for the school and also volunteer to plant up the containers and deliver them to the school.
Throughout the year, the children have planted tatties, onions and beans which were harvested and sold at a MacMillan coffee afternoon.
Two judges attended the school and were given a tour of the displays by the children. The children were delighted to receive a certificate and £200.
